During the life of university, we still keep in touch with a letter in a week. By the written words, we pour the love from the hearts, the happy or sad things occurred in the campus, the progression of our study we have made. In the spared time, she even weaved a white scarf by herself for me as the evidence of love. But the things changed abruptly at the last year of college life. The reason is still a myth to me. She went to the USA for the advanced study and I have not gotten any information about her since then until one day she suddenly emailed me a letter said that she was married several years ago, and lived a well-being life. She expressed that even though we could not be married but we could be good friends anyway. Should I forgive her? The answer is definitely negative. The feeling of love has gone with the winds and will never return for any reason and on any times. A few years ago, I married a slender, kind and beautiful girl and had my own warm home. So was the end of my first love.

Once when I was little kid ,there was a little boy who lived near my home and played with me all the time,I always thought our friendship would everlasting , unfortunately, a serious disease cut his life off,we couldn’t see each other for ever, but our friendship would hang on.If he was alive he must be a university student like me.
We should care about our friends frequently, remember:the making of friends who are real friends,is the best token we have of a man’s success in life.I hope every day is my friends birthday !

I was in a bad mood tonight,I didn’t know why,my heart was in a mess.maybe there were so many trouble lay on my heart, sometimes I could feel my heart was reeling, sorrow was gnawing at my heart,I was tired, very tired……
I couldn’t convey my feelings in words, it’s unnecessary for you to worry about me,I will be fine tomorrow, because the first thing what I am looking for in the morning is pleasure.

In this big crowd,I thought the students were the happiest, especially the pupils, they didn’t have so many troubles around them, they were innocent, they were lively, you could find a lot of smiles on their face.Quite a number of young people maintain that money was a passport to happiness,I did’t think so,because you couldn’t get happiness with money, you couldn’t find any smiles on their face.

She seemed to find nothing strange in the question. Had she noticed already that I could not see? But her next question removed my doubts.
“Why don’t you look out of the window?” she asked quite naturally.
I moved easily along the berth and felt for the window ledge. The window was open and I faced it, making a pretense of studying the landscape. In my mind’s eye, I could see the telegraph posts flashing by. “Have you noticed,” I ventured, “that the trees seem to be moving while we seem to be standing still?”
“That always happens,” she said.
I turned from the window and faced the girl, and for a while we sat in silence. “You have an interesting face,” I commented. I was becoming quite daring, but it was a safe remark, few girls can resist flattery.
She laughed pleasantly, a clear, ringing laugh. “It’s nice to be told that,” she said. “I’m so tired of people telling me that I have a pretty face.”
Oh, so you do have a pretty face, thought I, and aloud I said, “Well, an interesting face can also be pretty.”
“You are very gallant,” she said. “But why are you so serious?”
“We’ll soon be at your station,” I said rather abruptly. “Thank goodness it’s a short journey. I can’t bear to sit in a train for more than two or three hours.”
Yet I was prepared to sit there for almost any length of time, just to listen to her talking. Her voice had the sparkle of a mountain stream. As soon as she left the train, she would forget our brief encounter, but it would stay with me for the rest of the journey, and for some time after.

There are two aspects of trust that are important in relationships. One is trusting your partner enough to know that s/he won’t cheat on you or otherwise hurt you — and to know that he or she trusts you that way, too. The other is trusting them enough to know they won’t leave you or stop loving you no matter what you do or say. The second that level of trust is gone, whether because one of you takes advantage of that trust and does something horrible or because one of you thinks the other has, the relationship is over — even if it takes 10 more years for you to break up.

Andrew Carnegie, known as the King of Steel, built the steel industry in the United States, and , in the process, became one of the wealthiest men in America. His success resulted in part from his ability to sell the product and in part from his policy of expanding during periods of economic decline, when most of his competitors were reducing their investments.
Carnegie believed that individuals should progress through hard work, but he also felt strongly that the wealthy should use their fortunes for the benefit of society. He opposed charity, preferring instead to provide educational opportunities that would allow others to help themselves. “He who dies rich, dies disgraced,” he often said.
Among his more noteworthy contributions to society are those that bear his name, including the Carnegie Institute of Pittsburgh, which has a library, a museum of fine arts, and a museum of national history. He also founded a school of technology that is now part of Carnegie-Mellon University. Other philanthrophic gifts are the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace to promote understanding between nations, the Carnegie Institute of Washington to fund scientific research, and Carnegie Hall to provide a center for the arts.
Few Americans have been left untouched by Andrew Carnegie’s generosity. His contributions of more than five million dollars established 2,500 libraries in small communities throughout the country and formed the nucleus of the public library system that we all enjoy today.

Television—–the most pervasive and persuasive of modern technologies, marked by rapid change and growth-is moving into a new era, an era of extraordinary sophistication and versatility, which promises to reshape our lives and our world. It is an electronic revolution of sorts, made possible by the marriage of television and computer technologies.
The word “television”, derived from its Greek (tele: distant) and Latin (visi sight) roots, can literally be interpreted as sight from a distance. Very simply put, it works in this way: through a sophisticated system of electronics, television provides the capability of converting an image (focused on a special photoconductive plate within a camera) into electronic impulses, which can be sent through a wire or cable. These impulses, when fed into a receiver (television set), can then be electronically reconstituted into that same image.
Television is more than just an electronic system, however. It is a means of expression, as well as a vehicle for communication, and as such becomes a powerful tool for reaching other human beings.
